Eritrea Launches Strategic Tour to Evaluate Southern Region Development and Agriculture

High-level Eritrean officials recently concluded a comprehensive tour of inspection across the Southern Region to assess the progress of environmental and agricultural development initiatives. The inspections prioritized tracking active projects dedicated to ecological remediation alongside expanding commercial vegetable and fruit farming. The delegation closely analyzed the regional livestock supply chain, touring modern milk processing facilities and dairy production plants to ensure the region’s food security goals are met.

During interactions with project heads and local entrepreneurs, Governor Habteab reaffirmed that the state is actively working to cultivate a friction-free environment for domestic and returning citizens looking to deploy capital. He emphasized that targeted administrative reforms have already unlocked highly favorable conditions for those entering large-scale agricultural operations.

Dr. Woldai Fitur underlined that consistent, ground-level monitoring of socio-economic projects remains the state’s most effective tool for identifying unmapped investment avenues. He urged local managers to aggressively modernize dairy methods, livestock management, and fruit cultivation to elevate the commercial competitiveness of regional goods.
